Modifications have been made to streamline the use of the purchase quantity on purchase orders and electronic transmission of orders. These changes will allow the use of the purchase quantity flag to be setup at a category level or on an individual part number.

Category Maintenance

A new field has been added to the Category Maintenance for the default use of Purchase Quantity. If this flag is set to Y the purchase quantity of all parts within the category will print the order quantity as a multiple of the purchase quantity. This can be overridden on the individual part numbers in the category.

Product Maintenance

A new field has been added to the Product Maintenance for the use of Purchase Quantity. If this is set to Y the order quantity will print or transmit electronically as a multiple of the purchase quantity.

This setting on the inventory item overrides any setting on the category.
